Take a 4+ mile hike at Ridge Hill Reserve with the Appalachian Mountain Club. The 175-acre reserve is protected by the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust (DNRT). The property lies just south of the Copicut Reservoir between the Copicut and Shingle Island Rivers, and it also borders the 14,000-acre Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve. Required equipment: backpack, rain gear, hiking shoes, water, snacks, and lunch. It is hunting season, so orange vests and orange hats are recommended. Heavy rain will cancel. Parking is limited, so try to carpool.
