We'll walk 1.3 miles past coastal sand dunes and campground en route to the Horseneck Point Life-Saving Station, where we'll watch the dramatic rise of the full moon as it lifts above the Buzzards Bay horizon. Restrooms will be available to use inside the Life-Saving Station. This event is in partnership with DCR.

As we explore, we’ll pass through open spaces, stopping along the way to look for wildlife in some of the coast’s most active spots. Every trip is different—sometimes it’s the call of a oystercatcher overhead, other times it’s all about spotting movement along the water’s edge. Come ready to explore, observe, and get a little sandy!

This laid-back program is perfect for kids interested in freshwater fishing. We’ll meet in the parking lot to check in and hand out all the gear—you don’t need to bring a thing. Then we’ll take a short walk to the pond, learn how to cast and reel, and see what we can catch.

Join Buzzards Bay Coalition for a scenic paddle through the protected waters of West Falmouth Harbor. We'll provide the kayaks, paddles, and life jackets! If you plan to bring your own gear, please email us in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Join Buzzards Bay Coalition and Gnome Surf for an unforgettable Bay Adventure at Horseneck Beach. This beginner-friendly session is all about fun, ocean connection, and learning the basics.

We’ll cruise at a relaxed pace to Chapoquoit Beach, where we’ll take a 15-minute break to hydrate, snack, and maybe even hop in the water—your call! Then we’ll hop back on and enjoy an easy ride back to finish up our 8-mile round trip.

We’ll explore newly restored wetlands, a lush oak-pine forest, a beech grove, and tranquil vernal pools. Along the way, we’ll discover a variety of plants, animals, and mushrooms. This guided walk covers approximately 6.7 miles and is geared towards ages 18 and up.

Step into the wetlands and see what’s out there! s we explore, we’ll pass through shaded trails and open spaces, stopping along the way to look for wildlife in some of the wetlands’ most active spots.

Time: 1 pm | Duration: 2 hours

This guided walk covers approximately 3.1 miles and is geared towards ages 18 and up. The route features mostly flat terrain with a few rolling hills and one steep climb we'll tackle together.
