Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop
Westport, MA 02790
Join Westport Land Conservation Trust (WLCT) for an introductory workshop on winter fruit tree management at the Mill Pond Conservation Area micro-orchard.
Opened in 2015, the Mill Pond Conservation Area micro-orchard and garden park is an experiment in cultivating an all-organic, edible landscape. Designed by Westport resident and 2010 National Olmsted Scholar Emily Vogler, the garden park is an intersection of Westport’s agricultural heritage and modern-day foraging that encourages visitors to ask the question: “should I eat this?”.
Please register by email at the address below. Space is limited to ten participants. Participants are encouraged to bring a sharp pair of hand clippers if they wish to take part in the pruning.
