This seminar will do a deep dive into the tactics and strategies that teams use to be successful in 3v3 team racing. We will take a close look at different starting strategies, stable plays, passbacks, mark traps, upwind strategy and downwind strategy, the team racing call book, and other topics. We will conclude the seminar with an open question and answer session and conversation about what we’ve discussed.

Take your sailing to a new level and get a jump on the upcoming sailing season! This seminar is part of a free 5-session Sailing Seminar Series this winter at Onset Bay Center. Stop by for just one evening, or join us every week to learn about a variety of topics related to sailing and team racing! Each seminar is a stand alone event, and participants do not have to attend any of the other seminars to benefit. Participants should have previous sailing experience and some experience racing. The main focus of the seminars is to give local Buzzards Bay sailors a chance to improve sailing skills during their season off the water. Local High School and College sailors and coaches are highly encouraged to attend. Please register ahead of time so that we can have the appropriate amount of materials for all participants.
