BEACH MADNESS: Sand or Snow Sculpture Competition

Winter is an amazing time to be at the beach! Brave the chilly weather, and join us at Onset Bay Center on Sunday, March 12 from 2:00-5:00pm to be a part of the fun at our free event: Beach Madness: Sand or Snow Sculpture Competition! All ages and abilities are welcome to participate – whether you’re a professional artist, a DIY-er, or someone looking to try something new!

Using sand or snow (depending on the weather conditions on the beach), craft a creative sculpture of your choosing! Bring your own sand and snow tools, stake out your space on the beach, and start your build! Sculptors will have until 4:00pm to create their work of art, followed by a short viewing period to allow the community to vote for their favorites! Prizes will be awarded to winners in each category starting at 4:30pm!

The center will be open throughout the competition for participants and spectators to warm up, have some refreshments, and enjoy the view of the bay and the artists! Dianne’s Art Farm will be on site with children’s salt painting art activities as well! Please make sure to dress with consideration to the day’s weather.

Schedule:

Artist Arrival and Check In: 2:00-2:30pm

Sand Sculpting: 2:30-4:00pm

Voting: 3:30-4:30pm

Prizes Awarded: 4:30pm

Onset Bay Center will be open to participants and spectators 2:00-5:00pm.
