Join the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust (DNRT) and guest leader Jessica Cook for a free Wildflower Walk at DNRT’s Destruction Brook Woods.
Jessica is co-owner of Quintessential Gardens in Westport and has worked in various areas of horticulture for over 20 years. She is certified by the Massachusetts Nursery and Landscapers Association, earning the title MCH, Massachusetts Certified Horticulturist. She is also a member and accredited by the Northeast Organic Farming Association as an AOLCP, Accredited Organic Land Care Professional. Jessica will share her knowledge about wildflowers as the group explores the fields and woods of DNRT’s largest reserve.
The walk will begin at the Destruction Brook Woods parking lot on Slades Corner Road, 1 mile west of Russell’s Mills Village in Dartmouth and last approximately two to three hours depending on what wildflowers are found on the walk. Please bring water and dress appropriately for the day’s weather. Usually only the worst weather will cancel a DNRT walk. If the weather is questionable, call DNRT’s cell phone at (508) 525-9266 on the morning of the walk.
