Did you know Westport is home to over 70 species of edible wild plants? And some of them are more nutritious and flavorful than their cultivated counterparts. Learn all this and more on this Wild Edibles Walk.Join Westport Land Conservation Trust and export forager Russ Cohen for a two-hour ramble around Westport Town Farm in Westport to learn about at least 18 species of wild edible plants. Keys to the identification of each species will be provided, along with information on edible portions, seasons of availability, and preparation methods, as well as guidelines for safe and environmentally responsible foraging.
