Gooseberry Neck, located on Gooseberry Island, is both a breeding site for endangered shorebirds and a significant stopover site for other various migrant shorebird species. In some years large numbers of offshore (pelagic) dwellers such as shearwaters may pass through. Come enjoy a morning walk on this unique island. Mammals such as wandering deer or grey seals swimming near shore are also possible sightings.

Participants should bring birding equipment, camera, and water. Wear sturdy footwear for rocky sections and light clothing for walking in possibly hot, muggy conditions.

Pre-registration required by 4:00 pm, Friday, July 20th. Limited to 20.

Cost: $10 Lloyd Center members, $13 nonmembers, children under 12 half-price
