Explore the marsh at Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary at dusk to search for bitterns, night herons, and rails. The evening begins with a presentation in the Stone Barn before departing onto the trail to listen for the breeding calls of the most secretive marsh birds at Allens Pond.
This program covers approximately 2.5 miles of uneven terrain and is limited to 10 adults.
Dress for an outdoor night hike and be sure to include sturdy walking shoes, insect repellent, and binoculars, if you have them.
Cost: $12 Mass Audubon members, $12 nonmembers
