The endangered Northern Red-bellied Cooter are only found in one county in Massachusetts – Plymouth! Brian Bastarache and his students at the Bristol County Agricultural High School raise these endangered hatchling turtles and release them into the wild as part of the Mass Wildlife Headstart Program. Come meet Brian and his students at this family friendly Wildlands Trust program to learn about these unique Plymouth turtles and the efforts being made to increase their population.

Brought in partnership with the Herring Ponds Watershed Association.
