Walk Myles Standish State Forest with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation to learn about a forest born of ice and fire, shaped by human hands and by changing climates. On this gentle, 1.6- mile hike, participants will learn the geological and natural history of the forest, from Native American hunters to visitors of the forest today.
Children ages 8 and up welcome. Meet at Interpretive Center in the Headquarters parking lot at 194 Cranberry Road, South Carver. Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. Bring water. Sunscreen and insect repellent are recommended. Rain may cancel; call ahead to confirm.
