Massachusetts Department of Conservation & Recreation Interpreter Dan Byrnes will lead this weekly hike “off the beaten paths” of Myles Standish State Forest. This week’s hike will follow a new trail cut this spring with a bulldozer, heading down the hill right at the start of the bike path. Participants should meet for the hike at 9 am in the parking lot at the intersection of Long Pond Road and Alden Road in Plymouth.

Please bring water and snacks and wear bug spray and sunscreen. Good walking shoes are very helpful. (Avoid flip flops.) Walks generally take about two hours.

If you’d like, meet at 8 for breakfast or a cup of coffee at Panera Bread along Long Pond Road in Plymouth.
