Join the Friends of Myles Standish State Forest to explore a section of Myles Standish State Forest not often traveled – the equestrian lot loop! Walks average two hours. Please bring plenty of water and wear good hiking shoes.

The equestrian parking lot offers access to trails in the southwest portion of the forest. It is located just north of Barrett Pond and the Barrett Pond campground, down the dirt road off Halfway Pond Road.

You can join the group at 8:00 for a pre-walk breakfast or just a cup of coffee at the Panera Bread in “The Grove” shopping center along Long Pond Road near Exit 5 off Route 3. There are usually a half dozen people who come and will be happy to let you follow them into the forest.
