Nature journaling helps you slow down, look closely and discover more about the environment around you, and can help create a lifelong love of the outdoors.

Families will be introduced to nature journaling as an activity and will be guided through a series of fun and engaging activities to explore the natural world, build curiosity, and enhance observation skills. No previous experience or skills are necessary.

The program will be designed for children in grades 3 – 5, but modifications will be offered for older children and adults. Bring a sketchpad, notebook, or some loose-leaf paper and a clip board, and something to write with (e.g., pencil, pen, crayons, colored pencils etc.). Dress in layers appropriate for the weather. Families may want to bring a blanket or portable sitting pad for something to sit on if the ground is wet.

Registration is required.
