Myles Standish State Forest is an excellent place for seeking mushrooms, and they are abundant in October. There are so many colors, shapes, and textures, and they are a fascinating part of our forests and ecosystem.

Join the Friends of Myles Standish State Forest and Ryan Bouchard, President of the Mushroom Hunting Foundation, for an educational two hour mushroom identification walk. The Mushroom Hunting Foundation was created to educate people about safely hunting for wild mushrooms. It is a nonprofit organization that aims to make mushroom hunting better understood and well-known as part of our culture.
