It’s winter now, but spring is just around the corner! Join the Fairhaven Acushnet Land Preservation Trust with Fairhaven resident and local monarch butterfly enthusiast, Louise Barteau, for an hour of warm conversation and colorful photos about one of the most interesting migrants on the planet.

Lousie will tell her own “monarch story” while discussing the monarch life cycle, the migration, how to plant a Monarch Waystation and more. Come and hear how you can help to save the monarch butterfly and – one of nature’s most amazing migrations, by adding just three plants to your back yard.

Louise is a local artist and naturalist, whose primary interest is coastal native plants. An active volunteer for the New England Botanical Club and a Plant Conservation Volunteer for the New England Wildflower Society, she received her Advanced Certificate in Field Botany in 2015 from the New England Wildflower Society. She is currently inventorying all the plants in the West Island Reservation for the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation and the New England Botanical Club.
