Join Mass Audubon at the Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary to dig deeper into the relationship between milkweed and monarch butterflies!

In this field-based workshop, learn about the life cycle of the monarch and how it depends on milkweed for success. Receive citizen science training on the Monarch Larval Monitoring Project, a study aimed to better understand the distribution and abundance of breeding monarchs in North America. Learn how to foster and monitor your own milkweed patch.

Dress for an outdoor experience and be sure to apply sunscreen and insect repellent.

Cost: $20 members, $24 nonmembers, free to children
