Join The 300 Committee for a guided bird walk on Salt Pond next to the Shining Sea Bikeway in Falmouth. Look for early winter migrants as you meander the trails through coastal shrubland bordering Salt Pond.

300 Committee bird walks, led by Molly Cornell, are open to “newbies,” seasoned birders, and anyone in between. The walks are easy-paced, and while there will be pauses to observe many aspects of nature, the focus is mainly on birds. These walks will sharpen your bird identification skills through field marks, vocalization, and patterns of bird behavior.

Directions: Park in the lot where Elm Road crosses the bike path (just north of the intersection of Elm Road and Surf Drive).

Cost: Free
