Missed the Lloyd Center‘s winter owl prowl? Kick off the spring season with an owl hike when the weather is warmer, the event hour friendlier, and owls are still occupying territories or nests. Structured similar to the winter prowl, you’ll try your luck on the Lloyd Center property before venturing out in the Lloyd Center’s van if our property is quiet. Screech and barred owls are the focus, but there’s no telling what we’ll see! With hopefully warmer temperatures, other creatures may be seen or heard.

Participants should bring (if available) binoculars, camera, and flashlight, and wear footwear for light walking on forest trails and possibly snow. Pre-registration required by noon on Thursday, March 22.

Cost: $10 Lloyd Center members, $13 nonmembers, half-price children
