Let’s go explore the shellfish beds off of Shell Point the morning of April 20th. The OBC staff will lead a group, walking beautiful Onset Beach shoreline to Shell Point, over to the beds to scratch for quahogs. This program is great for kids 8+ and will limit capacity at 10 participants. Waders can be provided if needed. Rakes and baskets will be provided. This program is catch and release.

This program is part of “Wild for Wareham,” a collaboration by the Wareham Land Trust, Mass Audubon, and Buzzards Bay Coalition’s Onset Bay Center for a full week of outdoor activities that highlight all that Wareham has to offer, during school vacation (April 17 – 24, 2021).

Important Details:The starting point for this program is at the Onset Bay Center, located at 186 Onset Avenue. Parking is available at the Onset Pier, at this time. When you arrive, you will check-in with a staff member by the flagpole. We ask that all participants please wear a mask and maintain at least 6 feet of distance.
