Coastal Rhode Island Ramble

Join the Appalachian Mountain Club for an easy to intermediate bike ride of 42 miles through Tiverton, Rhode Island. The group will bike at around a 12-14 mph average speed, keeping slow enough to enjoy the scenery while fast enough to burn off some treats. If needed, there is a 32-mile self-guided short cut, with the split at about mile 15.
Registration is not required for this activity. However, you may wish to contact the leader(s) if you have any questions.
Meet at Tiverton High School in Rhode Island at 10:00 am for a 10:15 departure. Pace your food depending on preferences and appetite. First stop, Mile 23 in Little Compton, somewhere around noon or just before. Hang out at the Art Cafe where they have coffee, beverages, teas and some snacks. You can also enjoy with your own snacks/lunch and or pick food up close to Art Cafe at Wilbur’s general store.
After a leisurely stop to enjoy the gardens, greenery, beverages and food we will head off to complete the remaining 20 miles of the ride, stopping once or twice at scenic spots along the way.
The group expects to return to the Tiverton High School Parking lot sometime in the 3pm time frame. For those interested in a late lunch/early dinner, bikers will head over to Evelyn’s Drive for some casual waterside dining.
