Are you riding in the 13th annual Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride on October 6? Still considering it? Get in some training miles on this beautiful 50+ mile training ride from Falmouth up to Sandwich and back – half inside the Buzzards Bay watershed, half outside! The half inside the watershed will take you along the Cape side of the Watershed Ride route, with views along the canal and of Buzzards Bay along the Shining Sea Bikeway. The ride will take 3.5 to 4.5 hours, depending on group pace, with time for a snack/lunch stop in Sandwich and the opportunity for extra mileage down to Woods Hole.
Buzzards Bay Coalition Water Resource Specialist and Falmouth resident, Maureen Thomas, will lead the ride and answer any questions you may have about the event. Participants can meet and park at the Locust Street parking lot.
This training ride is open to both those registered and those considering registering for the Watershed Ride. Feel free to bring friends that might be interested in learning more about the Ride! All participants are required to wear helmets, sign a waiver, and follow the Rules of the Road.
