Join the Buzzards Bay Coalition on AHA! Night to celebrate the theme “Herstory, History, Ourstory” and the life of Richard Wheeler. We’ll feature a special showing of the film “The Haunted Cry of a Long Gone Bird,” about Richard Wheeler’s epic kayak journey, in the Richard C. Wheeler Bay Learning Center dedicated in his name.

In 1991, educator and sea kayaker Richard Wheeler undertook an incredible expedition from the north coast of Newfoundland to Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts in search of the cultural remains of the now-extinct great auk. After watching the film, see the kayak he used and his trusty companion “Auckie.”

Showings at 5:30 – 6:30pm and 7 – 8pm.
