Want to get more comfortable out on the water? Have you always wanted to learn to sail, but don’t know where to start? Join the Coalition for an introduction to the principles of sailing and a sunset cruise on beautiful Onset Bay!

Coalition educators will walk you through the basics of sailing aboard our 14-foot RS Quest sailboats, and then take you out for a sail through the calm waters of Onset Bay. Adventurous attendants are welcome to try their hand at steering the boat and controlling the sail as we go, but you’re also welcome to just ride along with us and get used to the feeling of moving by wind power!

Wear shoes and clothes that you are comfortable with getting wet. A warm layer and bug spray is recommended, as we will be sailing at dusk. Life jackets will be provided. We strongly recommend arriving 15 minutes early if possible, as transport to our dock at Burgess Point can take some time.

In case of heavy rain or wind, or thunderstorms, the foul weather date for this sail will be Wednesday, September 19, from 5:30-7. All registrants will be automatically registered for the backup sail should foul weather cancel.
