Enjoy food, festivities, and outdoor fun during the first-ever Acushnet River Herring Festival on Saturday, May 14 at The Sawmill in Acushnet. This family-friendly festival will celebrate the restoration of The Sawmill, a new public park in Acushnet, during the annual river herring migration on the Acushnet River. The festival is free and open to all, and will feature food, music, live bird demonstrations, canoeing, guided walks, and kids’ activities.
