What makes Myles Standish State Forest presidential? Join park interpreters and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation to learn about the connection between this land and Theodore and Franklin Roosevelt, two American presidents that directly contributed to the preservation and improvement of this beautiful forest. Learn how the Roosevelts were instrumental in making this forest what it is today.

This is an outdoor program. You’ll walk about 1 mile as we tell “A Tale of Two Presidents.” Dress for the weather; bring sunscreen, bug spray, water and a snack. Meet in front of the Interpretive Center next to the forest headquarters. Suitable for adults and children 13+. This program is free and open to the public; no parking fee. Rain cancels some programs; call ahead to confirm
