Sailing Seminar: High School/College Sailing Discussion for Coaches

This seminar is an excellent opportunity for High School or College Sailing coaches who want a better understanding of how the sailing game is played and how to better prepare your sailors and your team for competition. Topics include scheduling, roster management, off-the-water communication, and on-the-water drills, among other topics. This seminar will be predominantly a question and answer format so please come prepared with any questions you may have. If you are new to coaching, or have been thrust into a leadership position in a sailing program, then this is the perfect opportunity to ask your questions and enter your team season feeling more prepared!

Take your sailing to a new level and get a jump on the upcoming sailing season! This seminar is part of a free 5-session Sailing Seminar Series this winter at Onset Bay Center. Stop by for just one evening, or join us every week to learn about a variety of topics related to sailing and team racing! Each seminar is a stand alone event, and participants do not have to attend any of the other seminars to benefit. Participants should have previous sailing experience and some experience racing. The main focus of the seminars is to give local Buzzards Bay sailors a chance to improve sailing skills during their season off the water. Local High School and College sailors and coaches are highly encouraged to attend. Please register ahead of time so that we can have the appropriate amount of materials for all participants.
