Habitats & Wildlife

The open waters of Mattapoisett Harbor are a great spot to watch for ospreys hunting for fish in summer. The harbor is also home to many other birds, including gulls, terns, cormorants, and more. Under the waves, striped bass are known to visit the harbor in spring, which attracts local anglers looking for their next big catch.
