Onset Bay Center Camps

Limited spaces remain for the 2026 Bay Explorers Camp!

A week in the Onset Bay Explorers Day Camp is filled with kayaking, swimming, sailing, paddling, and exploring Onset Bay! 

Open to 8-13 year-old participants (as of June 2026), this full-day program offers the best of what the Onset Bay Center has to offer. Join experienced instructors for a fun-filled summer on and around the bay! The Onset Bay Explorers program allows for discovery, learning, and play in an outdoor setting while promoting teamwork, respect, and environmental awareness. Activities include kayaking, sailing, canoeing, paddleboarding, beach exploration, and more!

Camp Dates & Duration

Each camp session runs for one week, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Weekly sessions are offered throughout the summer, running from June 29 through August 21, simply choose the Monday that works best for your schedule when registering.

Rates & Payment Options

  • Weekly cost, non-Wareham resident: $395
  • Wareham Residents receive a 10% discount: $355
  • Need-Based - all towns receive 25% discount: $295
  • Full and Partial Scholarships (75-100% discounted rates,) for qualifying families

You can choose to pay in full at registration to secure your spot, or apply for a discount or scholarship before submitting payment. If you prefer to pay by cash or check to avoid processing fees, please email bookings@savebuzzardsbay.org or call 508-999-6363 ext. 283 to schedule an in-person registration. Please note that only one discount may be applied per registration—the best available rate will be used—and all Discount & Scholarship Applications must be completed within two weeks of registering.

Registration Process

  1. Select your preferred Monday start date.
  2. Complete the registration form.
  3. Choose to either pay now to secure your spot, or apply for a discount or scholarship.
  4. Payment (if applicable) is due within 2 weeks of approval. Your spot is not confirmed until payment is received.

If applying for a discount or scholarship: Our team will follow up within 3–5 days with next steps.

More Information

Breakfast is provided daily at no cost, courtesy of Wareham Public Schools Food Services. Weekly menus will be shared in advance. Participants are welcome to bring additional snacks if desired.

  • Cancellations made prior to one month from the start of the program will receive a full refund. 
  • Cancellations made within one month of the start date will be subject to a 50% refund. 
  • Cancellations made within one week of the start of the program are not subject to refund. Special consideration will be given to cancellations due to medical circumstances.
