Cuttyhunk Pumpout Station Now Open

Putting your boat in the water?  On May 23rd, the Buzzards Bay Coalition opened the Cuttyhunk Pumpout Station for the season.  This is a free self- serve station we manage for boaters throughout Buzzards Bay. The station is for the use of recreational boaters as they transit the waters of Buzzards Bay and Vineyard Sound.

In an effort to maintain clean waters and discourage boaters from discharging sewage into the waters ways, the Buzzards Bay Coalition in conjunction with State of Massachusetts maintain one of the few offshore pumpout stations along the southern coast of Massachusetts. Boaters are reminded that all waters within Buzzards Bay are designated a “No Discharge Zone”, and all boaters visiting Cuttyhunk Harbor should use this self-service pumpout station when they visit the Harbor. Since 2018 year over 26,000 gallons of waste were removed and the station has been used by over 800 boats.
