Join the Friends of Myles Standish State Forest on National Trails Day for a spectacular nine-mile hike on the Pine Barrens Path. The Pine Barrens Path runs north and south parallel to Myles Standish State Forest‘s eastern border.

The group will meet at 9am at the East Entrance parking lot (just off Long Pond Road at Alden Road). From there, they’ll carpool south to the hike’s start from the Charge Pond Road parking lot.

Nine miles is a long way. You will not want this to be your first hike of the year. Be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks. Bug spray and sunscreen are also recommended.

You’re invited to meet the group for an optional breakfast or coffee at 8am at the Panera Bread off Long Pond Road in Plymouth. (It is in the shopping center with Kohl’s and BJ’s.)
