Family Fridays: Painting With Pinecones
This event happened in the past.Wareham, MA 02571
You and your kids can discover the outdoors at Family Friday Explorations, a series of four free outings in October hosted by the Buzzards Bay Coalition and the Wareham Land Trust. Through fun games and hands-on activities, your family will learn about the Buzzards Bay region’s animals, plants, and habitats.
Family Friday Explorations is recommended for families with elementary school-aged children. We encourage you to attend all four programs, but it’s not required.
This week we will be exploring Horseshoe Mill! What better way to celebrate Fall than by learning about pinecones! What is a pinecone? We’ll go for a walk and try to identify different kinds of pine trees, based on the cones we find, and learn about the parts of a pinecone. We’ll wrap up by trying to paint with pinecones, and everyone will get to take home a cool pinecone print.
