Take a walk through the winter forest in the Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve with Green Futures. January’s Exploring the Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve Walk will explore areas west of Bell Rock Road in the state forest section of the Bioreserve. It is an area rich in biodiversiy but also, unfortunately, an area with serious erosion and other environmental problems that the group will observe and discuss.

Wear appropriate clothing and shoes/boots for walking/hiking in winter. If there is substantial snow on the ground snowshoes may be appropriate. If patches of snow and/or ice, traction cleats on boots may be needed. Water and snack always a good idea.

Heavy falling snow or any rain cancels walk.
