Hike around a working cranberry bog in Myles Standish State Forest and discover the fascinating history of the bog, from iron production to cranberry agriculture. These bogs helped America win its independence by producing iron used in cannonballs for the American Revolution.

For children ages 13 and up and curious adults of all ages; all children must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at Interpretive Center in the Headquarters parking lot at 194 Cranberry Road, South Carver. Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. Bring water. Sunscreen and insect repellent is recommended. Program is cancelled in the event of rain.
