The Friends of Myles Standish State Forest Native Bird Support Group is helping bluebirds by providing them with nesting boxes in several locations in the forest. Their populations have risen in recent years due to these nesting boxes! You can help clean out and put up Eastern bluebird nesting boxes at Myles Standish State Forest in the Wildlife Management Area at Cutter Fields and around the forest headquarters.

Meet at the forest headquarters picnic tables. After cleaning the boxes, volunteers will carpool to Cutter Fields to put the boxes up. Please bring a Phillips head screwdriver and gloves if you have some. You might get a little dirty! If it’s raining heavily, this event will be rescheduled to Sunday, March 19 at 9:00am.
