Melissa Guimont of the Friends of Myles Standish State Forest will train volunteers to monitor the native bird nesting boxes in Myles Standish State Forest.

Meet at the Interpretive Center at the forest headquarters at noon. Please bring a notepad and pen, binoculars and a Phillips head screwdriver. The training will last ~2 hours.

If there is rain, this event will be rescheduled for Saturday, April 21 at 2:00pm. We will send an email out about rescheduling to all those who sign up if the weather doesn’t cooperate.

We will be looking in the bird boxes and setting up a schedule for volunteers to check these boxes once a week from May-August. Please attend if you have a bird box in your yard that you need to monitor!
