This laid-back program is perfect for kids interested in freshwater fishing. We’ll meet in the parking lot to check in and hand out all the gear—you don’t need to bring a thing. Then we’ll take a short walk to the pond, learn how to cast and reel, and see what we can catch.

Join Buzzards Bay Coalition for a scenic paddle through the protected waters of West Falmouth Harbor. We'll provide the kayaks, paddles, and life jackets! If you plan to bring your own gear, please email us in advance so we can plan accordingly. Along the way, we’ll take in views of salt marshes, wildlife, and quiet inlets before looping back to shore and wrapping up together. It's a fun relaxing time on the water you won't want to miss!

Join us for a fun, hands-on crash course in nature photography, led by our volunteer lead expert, Fran Grenon! Learn how to set up your camera so that you can capture stunning shots of nature.

Join us for a relaxing guided paddle on the Westport River! We’ll meet at the Westport Town Landing (western launch) to check in and get ready. Then, we’ll hit the water and explore the peaceful river at a comfortable pace. Perfect for taking in the scenery and enjoying time on the water.

Join us for a kayaking adventure along the peaceful Westport River, take in the views, and connect with fellow nature enthusiasts.

Step into the wetlands and see what’s out there! s we explore, we’ll pass through shaded trails and open spaces, stopping along the way to look for wildlife in some of the wetlands’ most active spots.

Time: 10:30 am | Duration: 1 hour 

We’ll cruise at a relaxed pace to Chapoquoit Beach, where we’ll take a 15-minute break to hydrate, snack, and maybe even hop in the water—your call! Then we’ll hop back on and enjoy an easy ride back to finish up our 8-mile round trip.

Join Buzzards Bay Coalition and Gnome Surf for an unforgettable Bay Adventure at Horseneck Beach. This beginner-friendly session is all about fun, ocean connection, and learning the basics.

This is a self-guided community science event where participants help document the plants, animals, insects, fungi, and other wildlife found throughout The Sawmill using the free iNaturalist app. We encourage you to download the app before arriving—project details will be shared at check-in. Drop in anytime between 7am and 12pm. Explore at your own pace. No experience is needed—just curiosity and a smartphone.

Join us for a scenic bike ride! This ride starts in coastal neighborhoods that transition under a cool tree canopy before opening up to dynamic blend of river, pond, salt marsh, and harbor that connects to the Bay.

Step into the wetlands and see what’s out there! We’ll meet at the trailhead for a quick check-in, then head out in search of bugs, birds, frogs, and turtles.
