Each session will start at the Onset Bathhouse located at 186 Onset Avenue, Onset, MA. Parents and guardians will be asked to drop off their child(ren) at the entrance of Onset Pier where an OBC staff member will be stationed to escort your child(ren) to the kayak launch site. Please provide a signed copy of the OBC waiver at drop off. Your child(ren) will be ready for pick up at the same location as drop off.
Please send your child(ren) to the program wearing their bathing suit, comfortable clothing, closed toe water shoes, and plenty of layers. Under current COVID guidelines, we are not able to offer changing facilities or bathroom facilities to our participants. Public Bathrooms are available on Onset Pier.
Our activities do not require participants to share equipment. Kayaks, paddles, and life jackets will be provided and are disinfected after each use. General kayak instruction will be provided, but participants are expected to be able to operate a kayak independently.
All program participants and staff must wear masks during drop off/pickup and on the beach. Masks may be lowered when participants are maneuvering boats on the water. Staff will set up measures to maintain social distancing guidelines of six-foot separation at all times. Participants will be asked to sanitize their hands at the beginning and end of the session, and any other time deemed necessary. Learn more and access the program waiver form.
Bad weather cancels the session.
