The centerpiece of the Outreach Center is a marine touch tank stocked with animals that live in Buzzards Bay. You’ll find hermit crabs, spider crabs, sea urchins, sea stars, small fish, snails, and bay scallops in the tank, and you can hold each of them in your hands!
As you discover all that Buzzards Bay has to offer, you can also learn about the challenges it faces. The biggest problem of all is nitrogen pollution. Find out how the Bay is changing and what you can do about it.
Wrap up your visit at our gift shop, where you can get your Coalition gear, become a member, or sign up for a fun outdoor Bay Adventure. Before you head out the door, we’ll give you some ideas on where to go next as you continue to explore Buzzards Bay.
The Woods Hole Outreach Center offers an exciting schedule of free programs every day in summer.
