Preventing Sprawl

sprawlThe Buzzards Bay watershed loses approximately 1.7 acres a day to development; often poorly planned and highly consumptive of natural resource areas.

Baykeeper® Advocacy aims to work with municipalities throughout the watershed to adopt thoughtful local bylaws incorporating smart growth strategies which direct development to the most appropriate locations.  Baykeeper® Advocacy also stringently reviews large scale developments in environmentally sensitive areas to insure low impact to resources.
