Clean Vessel Act

Since 1999, the Coalition has used the R/V Buzzards Baykeeper, to provide pumpout service in Cuttyhunk Harbor on summer weekends.  Waste collected from vessels in Cuttyhunk has been transported to a discharge station in Dartmouth, MA.  The start up of this service was instrumental in gaining a Federal “No Discharge Designation” for Buzzards Bay in 2001 and has helped to keep Cuttyhunk Harbor and the waters of Buzzards Bay free from boat sewage.
