Join the Buzzards Bay Coalition and the New Bedford Whaling Museum for a series of three evening lectures about the work being done to restore and maintain the Buzzards Bay watershed.

The Health of New Bedford Harbor—Then & Now

Travel back in time as Dyer chronicles the evolution of New Bedford Harbor from seaport to a delivery system for industrial manufacturing that seriously contaminated the shoreline and compromised water quality.Mark Rasmussen, President, Buzzards Bay Coalition
Discover why the Harbor remains off limits to fin and shellfishing, and learn about current sources of pollution, wetlands restoration projects, and initiatives to mitigate nitrogen pollution and oil spills from commercial vessels.

This event begins with a reception at 6pm, followed by lectures beginning at 6:30pm.

Cost: $5 for New Bedford Whaling Museum or Buzzards Bay Coalition members; $10 for non-members
