This will be a two-hour hike on the Frost Pocket Trail and parts of the Bentley Loop at Myles Standish State Forest, hosted by the Friends of Myles Standish State Forest.

Dress properly for winter hiking with hat and warm gloves. While hiking, multiple thinner breathable clothing layers that can be added or subtracted as necessary are very helpful on cold days, because people generally warm up quickly when hiking and then have to start shedding. Rapid cooling can occur whenever the hike pauses. The ability to adjust to conditions is essential to having a good time and a safe trip.

Good warm boots are certainly helpful if there is snow. If there is enough snow, snowshoes are welcome. A note will be sent out a few days before the hike assessing current trail conditions.

After the hike, join the group for a buffet lunch at the New World Tavern.
