Join Mass Audubon and local experts at Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary to identify native shrubs along sanctuary trails. Participants will learn to identify both native and invasive species by their physical characteristics, and learn how to rid your land from invasive plants. The talk will also discuss medicinal uses for some of these plants, and learn how the Native Americans use them.

Dress for an outdoor walk and be sure to include sturdy walking shoes, sunscreen and insect repellent. This program covers approximately 3 miles of uneven terrain and is supported by the Westport Local Cultural Council. Registration is required for this event. Participation is limited to 10 adults.
