Join the Boston chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club for a leisurely mid-week ride exploring Mashnee Island and surrounding areas. The ride will be a scenic and flat 23 miles. The ride will start at Tidal Flats Recreation Area on the canal in Bourne riding around Mashnee Island first, then on to Eel Pond, and then ride the Cape Cod Canal Bikeway and lunch at the pavilion in Sandwich.
Arrive by 9:15am for a 9:30 start. Bring bike in good condition, helmet, spare tube, snack, water, wind breaker, and sunblock. Park in the left parking lot at the end of the road, where there are picnic benches and bathrooms.
