During this field trip with the Cape Cod Bird Club, begin the day by birding the Shining Sea Bikeway including Oyster Pond and the Salt Pond Bird Sanctuary. Then we can do a quick peek at Siders Pond. Then we can head over to Perch Pond to search the Redhead and Canvasback. Depending on how the group feels, we can continue on to Great and Green Ponds as well as Falmouth Harbor (typical location of the Barrow’s Goldeneye).

Meet at the Shining Sea Bikeway parking lot near the intersection of Locust Street/Woods Hole Road and Mill Road. Please dress in layers, and bring water and snacks.

All are welcome to join Cape Cod Bird Club field trips. There is no fee and no registration, though a call or email to the leader is appreciated. Please check the Cape Cod Bird Club website for additional trips or other changes. Always check the site to find out the status of a walk before leaving your home. Last-minute changes and emergencies might cause the unexpected cancellation of a bird walk. In case of inclement weather, check with leader! Rain cancels all trips. Contact leader if in doubt.
