Come explore the different zones that make up a sandy beach environment at Horseneck Beach State Reservation with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. Horseneck Beach is part of a larger coastal ecosystem that includes not only the beach but also the dunes area, a nearby salt marsh and the waters of Buzzards Bay. Participants will also see how coastal plants and animals living here interact together as a system.

For children and curious adults of all ages; all children must be accompanied by an adult. Meet in front of the Horseneck Beach Main Building on the main beach, by the blue posts that hold up the shade shelter. Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. Bring water. Sunscreen and insect repellent is recommended. Program is cancelled in the event of rain.

Cost: Free; parking fees apply
