Our Restoration Work

The Bay Coalition has several active restoration projects in the region to restore rivers, wetlands and other critical natural areas.

  • Acushnet River Restoration - This project will restore stream banks, wetlands, and upland forest along the Acushnet River and create a public resource with walking trails.
  • Marsh Island in New Bedford Harbor - This project will restore a salt marsh on a 22-acre site in the heart of New Bedford Harbor. The marsh was filled in almost a hundred years ago.
